John Gonzales, PA

John has been a board-certified PA with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants since 2003. He is a GX Sciences certified nutrigenomic specialist.

Background

John is a native of Seguin, TX who has spent his career in a variety of settings including pediatrics, family practice, and most recently functional medicine.  He received a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology from the University of Texas San Antonio in 2000 and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2003.  He has been a board-certified PA with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants since 2003.  He is a GX Sciences certified nutrigenomic specialist whose treatment approaches include genetic guided nutrition, male/female hormone regulation (BioTe Certified), methylation/mitochondrial health, detoxification, immune modulation, and management of neurologic conditions. 

Following the principles of health and healing, John aims to address the individual’s root causes rather than just treat symptoms, with the overall goal of giving patients the tools they need to maximize their health and wellness.

When he’s not practicing medicine, John enjoys spending time with family, hunting, fishing and traveling.
