All injections will be administered by our talented, experienced and compassionate master injector nurse. She has a keen aesthetic eye and enjoys boosting self-image and confidence in our patients. At AustinMD, our approach to all of our medical aesthetics treatments is to address your concerns and deliver the best, most natural-looking results.

Juvederm injections will leave tiny pinprick wounds so you should wait 24-48 hours to wear makeup. The injection sites need a short time to heal and makeup could irritate the area.

Juvederm

There are 2 types of dermal fillers most commonly used: Hyaluronic Acid (HA), and non-HA. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in many areas of the body including joints and skin, that can hold 1000x its weight in water. HA fillers help maintain shape, even out depressions in the skin, and provide hydration. They have improved lifting capacity (small amounts are required), improved longevity, and no need for allergy testing. They are also reversible by Hyaluronidase, and are naturally degraded by the body over time.
Aesthetic procedures are not covered under insurance, therefore we do not accept insurance. However, we do offer CareCredit, which is a a great financing option for health and wellness purchases not covered by insurance. With short term financing options of 6, 12, 18 or 24 months, no interest is charged on purchases when you make the minimum monthly payments and pay the full amount due by the end of the promotional period.
Each appointment starts with a very thorough consultation evaluating your medical history, and muscle movement. At AustinMD, we always take into consideration our patient’s wishes and preferences regarding how much facial movement is desired as well as correction of asymmetries, when possible.
