IV Vitamin Therapy

IV Vitamin Therapy

Are you suffering from lack of energy, brain fog, or dehydration? This may be your answer to resolve those conditions and more!

Our bodies need a constant supply of nutrients to function optimally and fight off illness. Modern society, with increased toxic burden and compromised food supply, can overload our body’s ability to detoxify and nourish our cells adequately. In addition, the nutrients taken by mouth does not guarantee it will be absorbed into our bodies due to many factors.

When a person receives an IV vitamin treatment, they’re receiving a liquid mixture of vitamins and minerals through a small tube inserted into a vein. This allows the nutrients to be absorbed quickly and directly into the bloodstream, a method that produces higher levels of the vitamins and minerals in your body than if you got them from food or supplements. This is because several factors affect our body’s ability to absorb nutrients in the stomach. Factors include age, metabolism, health status, genetics, interactions with other products we consume, and the physical and chemical makeup of the nutritional supplement or food. Higher levels of the vitamins and minerals in your bloodstream lead to greater uptake into cells, which theoretically will use the nutrients to maintain health and fight illness.

IV vitamin therapy or IV drip therapy is an effective and efficient treatment at replenishing vitamins and minerals because it bypasses the digestive system achieving a higher bloodstream concentration and uptake by cells. Vitamin drip therapy can be helpful with many conditions such as migraines, fatigue, mold exposure, heavy metal toxicity, and compromised immunity.

All IV vitamin drips are administered by our amazing IV nurse, Jackie! She mixes the IV drip in our sterile IV hood directly prior to your appointment and works alongside our IV Certified and Registered PharmD. Pharmacist,  Lidia to assure the latest IV rules are followed.  The IV is administered with your comfort as our top priority in our beautiful new facility. The infusion time for each IV varies. A typical IV, such as Myers Cocktail takes approximately 30 minutes to an hour to administer, while others such as High Dose Vitamin C or NAD+ can take up to 2 hours.

At AustinMD, we also provide customized IV drips of multiple vitamins minerals, antioxidants and amino acid nutrients in a highly IV infusion drip, within a welcoming relaxed environment.  You can meet with one of our Functional Medicine providers, Dr. Roy or Dr Jenny,  who can recommend the best IV drip for your needs and wellness goals.
